Peace and Love and Inspiration
Peace and Love and Inspiration from PonchoMeg: The Modern Bohemian
I am a creative spirit - a modern day hippie, bohemian, free-spirit. I'm a writer, an actress, a musician, a model, an artist, a fitness trainer, an ordained minister, a crafter, teacher, and so much more. But no matter what I do in life, I feel that it is my mission to spread peace, love, positivity, creativity, and inspiration to the world. I have an inner fire, a deep appreciation, and a solid commitment to this life mission, and that is part of why I decided to put this together. I hope that it can provide you all with peace, love, and inspiration as well as some great resources for self-improvement, meditation, and an overall better existence. Peace and Love to ALL!

One of the greatest places to find inspiration is within the written word...
"Inspired by the thoughts... driven by the words..."
The written word can be a very powerful thing. And when it comes to peace, love, inspiration, self-improvement, meditation, balance, and the like, the written word can be a catalyst for change!
I personally tend to get a lot of my inspiration from poetry - both through reading poetry and writing poetry. I feel like poetry (much like music actually) allows us to express our deepest emotions, our darkest feelings, our secret desires, and our steady stream of thoughts in a way that is so therapeutic, so revitalizing, so encouraging, and so freeing that it truly offers us a way to cleanse ourselves of all that is spinning inside!
I also get a lot of my inspiration through the specifically inspirational writings of others - quotes, poems, self-help books, tweets, etc. From "Chicken Soup for the Soul," to "The Bohemian Manifesto," to the words of Gandhi, peace, love, and inspiration are all around us in the form of the written word; it all just depends on how you look at it.
Excerpts from "50 Ways to be a Better Human Being" - A list I wrote to inspire people to continually work towards personal growth and betterment.
"Smile more. You would be amazed at what a smile can do for someone."
"Choose love over hate. You may not like someone or something, but you should respect that it is on this Earth and that there may be good there somewhere that we just can't see. I know that I don't understand everything in this life, and there's no way that I can understand everyone's purpose here, but I know that making an effort to love every living thing on this Earth has made me much more compassionate, loving, and accepting. And that feels pretty amazing."
"Accept who you are. I always tell my students "You are the best person you know, so you need to respect yourself and love yourself." I really believe this. If you can just accept who you are and what you want to be and worry less about what's 'wrong' with you, you will be much happier, and therefore a better contributor to our world. So forget that your body doesn't look like Giselle's and that you aren't a mega-money maker like Bill Gates, and just embrace the things you do have! When you really start to look for the good things, you'll find that the good usually outweighs the bad."
"Promote peace and love. It may sound like a hippie notion, but you don't have to be a hippie to want people to be good to one another."
"Let people know how much you love them. It sounds cliché, but a long life is not guaranteed, so make sure that the people you love know it just in case there isn't another day after today to let them know."

In the world we live in, I have found that there are a lot of people out there who have gotten so caught up in the daily grind and the everyday struggles of life that they have forgotten what it is to be good to one another. And for this reason, I h

Peace and Love and Inspiration in Music
"Music expresses that which cannot be said, but upon which it is impossible to remain silent." -Victor Hugo
I find that the world of music is a wonderful place to find peace, love, and inspiration.
Music heals. Music calms. Music motivates! Music can also be a great tool for meditation, an effective and wonderful way to spread a message, and a beautiful release when the weight of the world is too heavy and you feel like you're about to break.
I find inspiration when I listen to music and when I make music. Depending on my mood and what I'm going through, just what kind of music is going to move me can change, but music WILL move me. Music is powerful like that.
Some great inspirational songs and songs about peace, love, and inspiration include:
